InteGen is delighted to have been commissioned by Go-Ahead to support the preparation of their successful bid for the Kent based Fastrack bus operation between Dartford and Gravesend. This bus service will utilise state-of-the-art zero-emission bus technology and ‘pantograph-down’ fast-charging infrastructure, enabling innovative in-service opportunity charging of the buses.
As workstream lead, InteGen developed proposals for the electric bus vehicles and the bus depots strategy, as well as the bus charging and maintenance solution proposals. We worked closely with the Go-Ahead London (GAL) engineering and operations teams, particularly the recently formed zero-emissions centre-of-excellence – GAL’s team of specialists with unparalleled UK experience of procuring, introducing and operating zero-emission buses and associated depots and charging facilities.
Bringing InteGen’s extensive knowledge of public transport vehicle and operations procurement and bidding, our deep insights into electric vehicle traction technologies, and building on the knowledge from the GAL centre-of-excellence, we developed high quality costed proposals that were put forward to form part of the successful Go-Ahead bid for Fastrack. We also led the development of the detailed programme for the mobilisation of the operation, again a key element of Go-Ahead’s successful bid.
We are proud to have been a contributor to Go-Ahead’s successful tender to deliver this zero-emission public transport solution to Kent County Council.
