Discover our capabilities and network

Proximity to route is critical for zero emission bus depot location to minimise charge depletion and dead mileage. A good site must also have access to high power electrical supply. Working with property specialists and operators we identified sites offering the sweet spot across multiple criteria.

Frequently Asked Questions

We offer professional consultancy services in the railway sector, currently focussed on engineering management, technical advice and technical training on rolling stock associated systems and operations. Our current services and domain are listed in the services section. As we grow, we will update and expand these.

We observed that technical consultancies in the rail sector were merging and getting bigger and bigger and this was distancing the clients from their relationships with suppliers, potentially putting trust in quality at risk. As an SME, we remain agile and aim to keep the balance right for our customers.

We put people and professional relationships first. We have experience of rail operations and project delivery in public and private sectors, in both client and supplier capacities. We have also run teams of employees and contractors alike, so we understand the challenges and pressures people face when working, enabling us to be more empathic in our delivery.

We are predominantly focussed on providing services to clients in and around London and Birmingham, with members of the team located throughout the south-east, midlands and north of England.

He began his career as a mechanical engineer at London Underground over 20 years ago, later working for a UK train owner as diesel fleet engineer, and then project engineer in Sydney, Australia.

Charles completed an MSc at UCL with his thesis considering the feasibility of fuel cells and batteries retrofitted to mid-life diesel trains. He has since worked with operators and suppliers to consider the risks and opportunities for traction energy decarbonisation in the rail sector.

Charles has managed major fleet engineering change projects for train operators and rail vehicle owners. Holding a key role in a UK government led train procurement, he supported system migration planning and benefits realisation for a significant rail investment programme. He has prepared asset management plans for private sector train operators, and delivered successful rolling stock bids for train manufacturers – all considering the impact of rolling stock design on whole life costs and benefits.

Charles enjoys woodland management, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
